Yes yes my names Ross a.k.a Brainwash hailing from South East London. First and foremost Im an extremely proud Daddy to my 3yr old little girl called Tiffany. Big shout out to u girl, I love u loads. Ive been a DJ for roughly 8 years and producing for 4.... In this time i've written various beats in various formats. Andy C, Brockie, Det, Breaking Science, Hype, Noisia, Dylan, Spor, Nekura are just a few names holding it down for me on the DnB scene. Im also feeling the IRS Boys, Phil Life, and Killer Priest amongst many more! I never forget my roots and have total respect and admiration for artists such as Phil Collins and Eric Clapton. | Q & A with Brainwash Q: Where does your artist name come from? A: it just came to me at a rave that I was hosting Q: Tell us more about your musical roots! A: Im all about my old school jungle but I can apprciate some true classics in there own time such as Phil Colins and Eric Clapton Q: How did you start producing music? A: when I got my PC, just sat and played around with various programs such as Reason and Cubase. Also had influeneces from friends and other producers. Q: Are you also a DJ? A: Yes, I mix old school jungle to darkside D'n'B ... apart from wobble Q: Do you work together with other artists also? E.g. Remixes? A: yes Q: Do you have any special musical aims? A: Where do I start!! Just to be recognised for my music and for it to be appreciated by others Q: What do you think of the contemporary popular music which is played by normal radio stations? A: each to theire own really, I have a broad intrest in music spanning further than D'n'B ... again apart from wobble!! Q: What have you read recently (book, play, film, etc.) that moved or surprised you? A: a movie with Angelina Jolie called Gia based on a true story. Q: What is your all-time favorite track? Why?
